My Review:

This is absolutely one of the most precious ways to introduce a young child to the Bible that’s a beginner reader. I would recommend the age being infant to about eight years old. You can also enjoy it as a older child and even an adult. It’s one of those books that keeps giving back and is great to pass on.

You will find as you read the Bible with your young reader how well they respond to it. The illustrations are bright with color and fun, but more cartoonish than I would prefer. My children seem to love them and as young readers that’s all that matters. I like how it’s written in the language young readers can understand. The stories inside this book just aren’t the basic stories we are use to hearing. I’ve noticed that the stories really keep the attention of young readers since they aren’t very long. I do like how it tells where to find these stories in the big bible book. This is a great way to connect both books. I did notice that when reading the stories myself they had switched them up a bit to be more child like – not sure if anyone else noticed this or not. I personally like how the words inside the book are written. It’s in a larger print which helps the child follow along if they aren’t old enough to read yet by themselves. My older child loves reading to her younger sibling.

This being in a hardback book you don’t have to worry about the front being destroyed. I love hardback books rather than the paper one for my children. They seem to hold up so much better. These stories make great bedtime stories. It’s found a permanent place on our personal library shelf. This is the go to book here lately in our home. My children want to finish all the stories before starting another book. They love learning about the Bible and this book has opened that up for them. The discussions sometimes happen before stories and after stories depending.

I highly recommend it being a book you have for your personal library. You can also gift it to family, friends or etc. We love our copy of the book and it being a wonderful way to introduce a child to the Bible for the first time.

I received this copy from FlyBy for my personal use all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
